Set up your wallet in 6 steps
- Download from the official site. Type the wallet's address yourself or use the official app store listing. Fake wallet apps are a common scam.
- Create a new wallet. Choose 'Create new wallet' and set a strong password for the app.
- Back up your recovery phrase. Write the 12 or 24 words on paper in order and store them somewhere safe and offline. Anyone with these words controls your funds.
- Confirm the phrase. The wallet asks you to re-enter some words to prove you saved them.
- Fund it with SOL. Copy your wallet address and send SOL from an exchange on the Solana network. Start with a small test.
